Karen gives the best presents. This girl really knows how much of an experience and adrenaline junkie I can be.
Last night, as a belated birthday present, she surprised me with a dinner at Wazima. When we arrived a bunch of my friends were there. It was awesome to see everyone in one place.
After dinner she took us all to Go Kart Racer in Burlingame. Holy Cow, it was awesome. We all suited up in track suits, watched a brief training video,
donned motorcycle helmets, and hauled ass in super-powered go-karts. Those suckers were super fast and the competition got a little spirited at times as everyone battled for leaderboard position.
I came in first during the practice laps, and second during the final no-holds-barred race. I don't know how she did it, but Krys (Nathan's girlfriend) smoked us all and finished the final race with a 12 second lead time. No one else even came close.
